From After Effects CS6 to Creative Cloud
Adobe’s Creative Cloud is a suite of software for graphic designers, video editors, and web developers. Using cloud services the software allows users to rent the host of Adobe software for the duration of a subscription. Adobe’s Creative Cloud allows instant availability of new features and upgrades, and permits saving to the cloud, allowing easier sharing of projects. Creative Cloud includes Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, After Effects, and other Adobe products.
Amid these changes the former After Effects CS6, now upgraded and dubbed After Effects CC, has seen a host of new features, including inclusion of CINEMA 4D applications, optimized import of footage, and search functions for finding missing footage, effects and fonts. Let’s take an in-depth look at the features that make After Effects CC stand out from CS6.
Many of Adobe’s graphic tools have been upgraded or implemented to increase the functionality of the software. Both the Refine Edge Tools and the Pixel Motion Blur tools help designers create clearer, crisper pictures. The Warp Stabilizer VFX version has added or improved numerous graphic tools, including the Auto-Delete Points Across Time, Preserve Scale, and Objective like Stabilize, Apply Motion to Target, and Reverse Stabilization. The 3D Camera Tracker allows you to delete track points from integrated footage, and actually attempts to automatically complete this process for you.
After Effects CC comes equipped with a new command for purging RAM and disk cache, too. The software comes with new options for allocating RAM to background rendering in order to make forefront processes run more smoothly without sacrificing rendering speed. For computers with fewer than 5GB RAM, After Effects CC will disable Render Multiple Frames Simultaneously processes to prevent computer and software lockups.
Integration with Cinema 4D
The new After Effects Creative Cloud allows for instant integration with CINEMA 4D. In fact, the CINEMAD 4D Lite version is part of the Creative Cloud package. While this is a limited version it still provides powerful capabilities, such as object animation, modeling and camera moves. You can create new CINEMA 4D files as you are working within the After Effects Creative Cloud program, and retrieve them when in the CINEMA 4D platform. Even if you are working outside of the After Effects platform, and make changes in Cinema 4D, those changes can automatically be updated in the After Effects Creative Cloud platform. This allows you to work back and forth between the two software platforms and still instantaneously save changes.
While many of After Effects CC’s other updates streamline software processes and make the software generally easier to use for users, the Adobe Creative Cloud’s automatic updates ensure that users always have access to the most recent versions of their software.
If you are considering making the switch to the After Effects Creative Cloud, you will be more than pleased with its new features and the ability to use the software anywhere you are. To use this graphic software to its fullest extent, it is important that you receive the proper training. Expert tutoring in Creative Cloud can help you learn the ins and outs of the program and how to effectively use all the latest tools and techniques that are built into this software solution. Professional After Effects Creative Cloud training can also help you get the most for your money by learning how to use this software to its fullest.
